Use tasks for to-do lists

Use tasks to create, track, and organize your to-do items to ensure nothing on your to-do list slips through the cracks!

You'll find tasks in the Tasks page in Home and the Planning Center mobile app.

Create a task

1. Select Tasks from the bottom navigation of the Planning Center app.

2. Select the blue ⊕ plus icon in the bottom right corner.

3. Enter the details of your task in the Task Details popup.

   • Add a title.

   • Add a description and any helpful links.

   • Select a due date if needed.

   • Select if and when the task repeats.

   • Select which task list to add this task to.

4. Select Save changes.

Tip

You can create a task directly from a notification in the app by swiping left on the notification and selecting ⊕ Task.

1. Select the Tasks page from the top navigation.

2. Select Add task.

3. Enter the details of your task in the Add task popup.

   • Add a title.

   • Add a description and any helpful links.

   • Select which task list to add the task to.

   • If you have collaborators in that list, you can assign the task to one of them.

   • Select a due date if needed.

   • (Optional) Select if and when the task repeats.

4. Select Create task.

Tip

You can create a task directly from a notification in the toolbar by selecting the three-dot icon to the right of the notification and choosing Create task.

Edit a task

1. Select Tasks from the bottom navigation of the Planning Center app.

2. Select All tasks.

3. Scroll or use the sort and filter options at the top of the list to find the task you want to edit.

4. Select the task.

5. Make your edits in the Task Details popup.

6. Select Save changes.

2. Select the three-dot icon to the right of the task you want to edit.

3. Choose Edit task from the dropdown.

4. Make your edits in the Edit task popup.

5. Select Save changes.

Tip

You can duplicate an existing task by choosing Duplicate task after selecting the three-dot icon.

Delete a task

Warning

Deleted tasks cannot be recovered.

1. Select Tasks from the bottom navigation of the Planning Center app.

2. Select All tasks.

3. Scroll or use the sort and filter options at the top of the list to find the task you want to delete.

4. Select the task.

5. Select the three-dot icon at the top right of the app.

6. Select Delete task from the dropdown.

7. Select Delete in the pop-up.

3. Choose Delete task from the dropdown.

Create a task from the toolbar

The toolbar allows you to create a task from anywhere in Planning Center while using a web browser.

1. Select the 📋 clipboard icon in the toolbar.

2. Use the first dropdown to select the list where you want to create the task.

3. Select the ➕ icon to create a task.

4. Enter the details of your task.

5. Select Create task.
